War heroes and a 'gay' plane are among images flagged for removal in Pentagon’s DEI purge

Oh, the Pentagon’s new top dog, Pete Hegseth, has really stepped into a steaming pile of absurdity this time, hasn’t he? According to a Thursday night bombshell from The Associated Press, the Department of Defense, under his oh-so-enlightened leadership, has decided to play a little game of historical spring cleaning—except instead of dusting off old filing cabinets, they’re torching tens of thousands of photos and posts, including some real head-scratchers like references to a World War II Medal of Honor recipient and, wait for it, the Enola Gay. Yes, that Enola Gay—the B-29 bomber that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and helped end a little thing called World War II. Apparently, it’s all part of Donald Trump’s grand purge of anything that even whispers “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI), because nothing says “making America great again” like erasing its past.
